@bokane.org In the introduction Kroll writes that 河嶽 (river[s]! and “alps”) is an elegant way of saying 山水 （landscape, countryside), but surely it is more specific? His own dictionary says that 河 is The River (the yellow one) and 嶽 are the five sacred peaks, so: “between The River and the Sacred Peaks”?
